If I play with an orchestra already, can I still come?

Yes! Sharing your experiences with other students and building relationships in the music community can be valuable to your musical journey.

Question 2

Do I need to bring my instrument?

Accepted Answer

Yes! String, woodwind, and brass players will need to bring instruments. If you need help bringing an instrument, please contact your string or band teacher.

Question 3

Is this an audition?

Accepted Answer

No, but you will get to spend time with a professional musician who can answer questions about preparing for and taking auditions.

Question 4

How much experience do I have to have on my instrument?

Accepted Answer

You need a minimum of 2 years playing your instrument.

Question 5

Do I need to bring any music?

Accepted Answer

No. We will be providing music for you.

Question 6

Do I need to wear any particular clothes?

Accepted Answer

No. School clothes are fine, and you will be getting a t-shirt, as well.

Do I need to bring a snack or a drink?

Accepted Answer

We will have lunch, snacks, and drinks for you. If you have food allergies, please bring lunch and snacks from home to be safe.
