The Academy of Sports Performance

Our host is Jensen Brent, owner, and director of training at The Academy of Sports Performance. Jensen completed his training at Miami University and worked with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as a Sports Biomechanistic for 8+ years working with injury prevention, rehabilitation, and research. He opened the current facility in August of 2012 to work more closely with individual athletes. He has developed a keen interest in melding his training lifestyle with that of food and farming. 

Dustin Barton is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and has a passion for exercise, movement, and overall health education. His motto is &quot;Train for your life and let life be your exercise.&quot; Dustin will lead us through a movement series and then discuss movement: what it is, how our ancestors did it, and how we can apply it to our lives. His aim is to provide a perspective to the group that they can use as a framework for assessing their physical health and ways of reckoning with it. 

**Wear appropriate movement clothing and bring mat/lawn chair for discussion part. 
**Please only bring a snack to share (something simple and easy to grab).
