Bird Walk: East Dike Trail in Canyon County

Golden Eagle Audubon is dedicated to birding, wildlife education, cultivating native plants, habitat conservation, advocacy for birds, and more. As the Southwest Idaho chapter of the National Audubon Society, we offer birding trips for all ages, monthly educational presentations, community science programs, and work on the conservation and restoration of public lands. Most of our programs are free and open to the public as part of our commitment to serving the community. Morning hike along the East Dike Trail in Canyon County.

Please register to attend this trip. Make sure ALL fields are filled in and a confirmation email is received.Join <a href="https://www.goldeneagleaudubon.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Golden Eagle Audubon</a> for an approximately 1.5 mile along the East Dike Trail at Lake Lowell. Possible birds include: Yellow Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Red-winged Blackbird, Yellow-headed Blackbird, House Wren, and Yellow-rumped Warbler.All levels are welcome! Binoculars will be available if needed.Walking surface is an old roadbed currently more of a two track. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable closed-toed walking shoes. There may be goat heads along the trail. Bring water. Participants must be 16 years old or older and parent or guardian must sign the waiver for participants under 18 years old. There are no toilets at the trailhead..
