Queer To Tell: A Pride Month Storytelling Series

Queer To Tell is a NYC born national storytelling series that features LGBTQIA+ storytellers, is hosted by a local drag/queer performance artist, and takes place at Queer-owned/affirming spaces across the country. The series takes place in non-traditional performance spaces to create a space that feels like an intimate gathering audiences are happening upon rather than a theatrical performance. Each show has a different theme that allows for storytellers to share the universal experiences we as a community share but also the nuances of our different identities. This series was established to document the myriad of stories that exist within the LGBTQIA+ community, facilitate and encourage community building, and claim space in places that are actively celebrating and protecting us.

<h3></h3><h3>Nick Eibler/Lavender Public, in association with On The Quays, are thrilled to announce <strong>Queer To Tell: a Pride Month Storytelling Series</strong> this upcoming June. Queer To Tell is a storytelling series that takes place over three weeks during Pride Month at different LGBTQIA+ owned businesses. Each show will have a different theme inspired by the venue for the evening and host a variety of Queer-identifying storytellers. Come celebrate Pride Month with us for a wonderful night in Queer spaces, celebrating Queer voices, telling even Queerer stories!</h3><h3>Queer to Tell was created  as a way to share the wide breadth of LGBTQIA+ experience in a non-conventional, intimate yet performative way, cultivate intergenerational community, and highlight the wide variety of Queer-owned businesses and spaces thriving in New York City today.</h3><h3>This week&#x27;s theme - <strong>David Bowie Made Me Gay</strong>: Stories about the Icons, Movie/Book/TV Characters, and other figures who helped us find/shape our identities.</h3><p><strong>Seating begins at 6:30. Show starts at 7.</strong></p><p><strong>Details About Venue:</strong></p><ul><li>Space allows for both standing and sitting, so arrive early if you want guaranteed seating.</li><li><strong>Masks Required.</strong></li><li><strong>NO BYOB, except water.</strong></li><li>There is an on site bathroom.</li></ul><p>**A percentage of sales made from Astoria Bookshop will go towards <strong>Colectivo Intercultural Transgrediendo</strong>. is an organization that works to promote and defend human rights and access to comprehensive health care for TransGNB, QBIPOC and Sex Workers, by strengthening the social and cultural expression of diverse gender and gender expansive, and intersex communities in New York City, they seek to guarantee  well-being and the right to a life free from all types of violence.</p>
