Bird Walk: Hulls Gulch

Golden Eagle Audubon is dedicated to birding, wildlife education, cultivating native plants, habitat conservation, advocacy for birds, and more. As the Southwest Idaho chapter of the National Audubon Society, we offer birding trips for all ages, monthly educational presentations, community science programs, and work on the conservation and restoration of public lands. Most of our programs are free and open to the public as part of our commitment to serving the community. A beginner-friendly bird walk with Golden Eagle Audubon.

Camels back trail (End of N. 9th St. Boise)

Please register to attend this trip. Make sure ALL fields are filled in and a confirmation email is received.Time: 7:00-9:00am, meet at the end of North 9th Street (dead end) east of Camels Back Park.Please join Golden Eagle Audubon as we walk through Hulls Gulch Reserve listening and looking for our resident birds as well as our spring migrants. Specific route will depend on trail conditions but could include stairs and steep, narrow trails. Be prepared to hike up to 2 miles. Expect to see sparrows, wrens, chickadees, goldfinches, kestrels, flickers, kingfishers, chats, hummingbirds, warblers, swallows, and more!All levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes. Participants under 12 years old must be accompanied by a guardian and guardians must sign the waiver for participants under 18 years old.The nearest restrooms are in Camel's Back Park.If you have any questions, please contact Dondi Black at dondi@goldeneagleaudubon.org or 208-407-8798.
