Throughout the past 10 years since returning to his hometown, he has recorded &amp; performed with a diverse roster of musicians &amp; bands including Jeb Bishop &amp; Lucky 7s, Greg Ward's Fitted Shards, Paul Giallorenzo's GitGo, Bill MacKay's Darts &amp; Arrows, Dave Miller's Old Door Phantoms, Rob Clearfield Trio, Nick Mazzarella Quintet, Nate Lepine Quartet, Dave McDonnell Quartet, blink., Health&amp;Beauty, NOMO, In Tall Buildings, Ryley Walker &amp; Wild Belle, among many others.With The Quin Kirchner Group, Quin aims to create a sonic landscape equally focused on the cosmic explorations of Sun Ra, the adventurous swing of Charles Mingus, the global grooves of Kelan Phil Cohran and the spacey funk of late-60's Mwandishi era Herbie Hancock. The group features unique gatherings of some of Chicago's most notable improvisors including Jason Stein, Nate Lepine, Nick Broste, Matt Ulery, Anton Hatwich, Ben Boye, Nick Mazzarella &amp; Greg Ward.
