Evening in the Garden

The volunteer-led Vegetable Project’s eighth annual Evening in the Garden will be at New Scotland Elementary School on Tuesday, May 6 (Rain date is Wednesday, May 7).  Everyone is welcome to see what is growing, to learn about our work with kids in Albany schools, to learn about growing plants, to enjoy the sounds of student musicians and to sample tastes from local restaurants and other food businesses. Established in 2009, the Vegetable Project builds teaching and learning around doing and touching and tasting and experiencing with the generous support of our friends in the community.

Join us in the garden at  Albany High School for tours, demonstrations and tastings from great eateries (Rain date, Wednesday, May 10).

<p>The volunteer Vegetable Project’s sixth annual Evening in the Garden will be at Albany High School this year. And everyone is welcome to see what is growing, to learn about our work with kids in Albany schools, to learn about growing plants, to enjoy the sounds of student musicians and to sample tastes from local restaurants and other food businesses. Established in 2009, the Vegetable Project builds teaching and learning around doing and touching and tasting and experiencing with the generous support of our friends in the community.</p><p>The food will be great! On hand will be Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen, Bountiful Bread, Caffe Italia Ristorante, Cardona’s Market, The Cuckoo's Nest, Druthers Brewing Co., Honest Weight Food Co-op,  Mr. Bumbles Cafe  and SNAP-Ed New York.</p>
