A  live, online workshop that takes place over 2 separate days to learn to teach Units 5-8 of our yearlong high school data science course.

High school teachers, join the youcubed curriculum writing team for professional development to prepare to teach Units 5-8 of <a href="https://hsdatascience.youcubed.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Explorations in Data Science</a>! This is a 2-day workshop that takes place on October 3 and November 1-- each ticket allows the holder to participate in BOTH DAYS of the training. The workshop is conducted remotely via Zoom and offers in-depth sessions on Units 5-8, including hands-on experience with the technology tools in the course. (Please note that this workshop covers Units 5-8 of an eight unit curriculum— Units 1-4 are the topic of a <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/480015799177" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">separate workshop</a>).I﻿ndividual participants or groups of 2: $995 per personG﻿roups of 3 or more: $900 per personPlease note that each participant must log into the workshop individually, from their own device, to be admitted to the workshop. We encourage teams of educators from the same school or district to participate in the workshop together and offer a discounted rate to groups of 3 or more; however, we do not permit groups to log in with a single registration. If multiple people from your school or district are planning to attend this workshop, please ensure that each member of the group has a paid registration associated with their name.All registered participants will receive an email one week before each workshop day with a Zoom link and password. After each day of the event, we will provide a recording and a link to all slides or other resources used in the workshop. The post-workshop emails will be sent to all registered participants, regardless of whether they logged into the event (so even participants who aren’t able to attend the event live on the scheduled dates will still receive the recording and workshop materials).Each day, the workshop will begin at 9:00 am Pacific Time and end at 3:00 pm Pacific Time, with a lunch break approximately 45 minutes long in the middle. Participants will receive a certificate verifying 10 Professional Development Hours (1 CEU).
