Personal care routines such as diapering, bathing and feeding are not just something to get through.

<p>Personal care routines such as diapering, bathing and feeding are not just something to get through quickly to move onto something more important. For babies these routines are an important part of their life.  How do care routines change if we view infants as competent and capable rather than helpless. As caregivers we can help turn these moments into ways to connect with babies, and to do together with the child rather than for the child.  In this class we will discuss ways to carry out care routines in a way that the caregiver and child feel connected to one another.  You will learn not only why respectful care routines are important for infant brain development, but ways in which we can be mindful as we care for infants and model for families&#x27; respectful care.  </p>
