A reading and conversation with prize-winning poet and memoirist, Brian Turner, to celebrate the launch of ISSUED, a magazine for veterans.

Please join us for a reading and conversation with poet and memoirist, Brian Turner, author of Here, Bullet and My Life as a Foreign Country, and the launch of ISSUED: Stories of Service, a creative platform for active-duty military, veterans, and family members to share their experiences. Award-winning veteran-poets Vincent Cooper, Hugh Martin, and Tonya Suther will open. ISSUED features profiles of veterans across the country doing extraordinary work in the arts, education, and the nonprofit sector. ISSUED is sponsored by the Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement and the Piper Center for Creative Writing at ASU. The founding faculty editor is Rosemarie Dombrowski, who will moderate a conversation and author Q &amp; A with Brian Turner.
