Who will be hired to facilitate the lessons and activities for the campers?

Accepted Answer

MSU students, who are studying to be teachers in the Burton College of Education, MSU students who have been camp leaders in previous summer programs, and MSU students who are studying in the content areas of science, music, arts and crafts, PE/movement and literacy.

Question 2

Who will monitor the day-to-day operations of the camp and maintain a safe, engaging environment?

Accepted Answer

Dr. Hannah Harvey, camp director, will be your contact person. Dr. Angelique Ogea and Dr. Terri Simpson will be monitoring and supporting the daily routines throughout the camp, as needed.

Question 3

Will there be health personnel on staff daily?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have hired an MSU nursing student who is in the clinical stage of
the nursing program.

Question 4

What will occur on the final day (June 29th at 11am)

Accepted Answer

There will be a culminating program to highlight all of the great experiences
that the campers engaged in, such as the display of artwork, literacy contest winners, science project showcase, musical
performances and PE/movement activities. Parents/guardians are invited to attend.
