<P>When I think of Cuban food I think of my mom’s cooking, endless pastelitos from endless shops in Miami, and the music that’s always playing in the background… </P>
<P><EM>One plate of Arroz con Pollo with Celia Cruz and I’m immediately transported back home. </EM></P>
<P><SPAN>There are thousands of restaurants in New York, but I still find myself craving an authentic Cuban meal- one without the frills but with the flavor. A meal that understands the familial roots of our cuisine and celebrates our culture as it is.</SPAN></P>
<P><STRONG><EM>Sofrito y Salsa is a monthly Cuban dinner inspired by the food, drinks, and music of Cuba and Miami! These are the recipes my mom has shared with me, and now I want to share them with you.</EM></STRONG></P>
