SPARK! Creative Lab

Funded as a Special Project by the College of Education at California State University Los Angeles, performance artist Changing FrEQuencies presents the &quot;Music as Medicine: Creative Wellness Concert&quot;. This live, multimedia event is a 4-hour collection of dynamic performances, artist interviews, wellness information, and more! Changing FrEQuencies, in collaboration with the College of Education and the Neurodivergent Collective at California State University Los Angeles, SPARK! Creative Lab, and the Music and Expressive Arts Center of Oklahoma is hosting the 4-hour concert on Saturday, April 29, 2023. The event will be live-streamed and recorded, and performers and audience members will be live in two locations (Oklahoma City, OK, and Los Angeles, CA). The event will feature a hosts of artists from each location (complete list below). The showcased artists are from diverse backgrounds, with expertise across a broad spectrum of creative and expressive performance-based art. The artists highlighted will be interviewed on their forms of creative expression and the relationship between their art and their personal health and wellness. Additionally, local health and wellness service providers are invited to distribute information in community outreach efforts, in both locations.
