The Art & History Museums of Maitland (A&H) is a premier cultural destination and community gathering place in Central Florida, about 15 minutes from downtown Orlando. A&H is a group of sophisticated attractions that includes a contemporary art museum, 3 interactive history museums, and a stunning campus recognized as Central Florida's only National Historic Landmark. A&H also features a community art school nestled among its beautiful gardens and unique architecture.Founded in 1937 as an artists’ retreat, our space still fulfills this mission today with multiple artist residencies serving both local and international artists. <h2>Silk Painting Galore Workshop</h2><h3><strong>Instructor: Peggy Wertheim</strong></h3><p>Discover, create and explore the exciting techniques of silk painting.  Everyone is successful! Students will learn resist application, color blending, color mixing, paint and salt techniques. You will create a Long Silk Scarf or Silk Wall Art to frame or to use in pillows/quilts, etc. A wealth of designs, reference books and handouts provided. No experience necessary. Fun, easy and creative art form!   </p><p>    Location: Cottage at Lake Lily                                                                                                                                                                __________________________________________________________________________________</p><p>Workshop is for adults 18 and over. Registration is $120. Please note that a materials fee of $30 (in cash) is due to the instructor at the start of the workshop. </p>
