About Milk Street Cooking SchoolWelcome to Milk Street Cooking School. In spring 2020, our cooking school moved online - but we're thrilled to now be able to offer a limited number of in-person events at our space in downtown Boston. Our classes are designed for students 18 and older, but responsible teenagers (age 13+) are welcome with an adult.About Christopher Kimball's Milk StreetChristopher Kimball’s Milk Street in downtown Boston is home to our editorial offices, development kitchen and cooking school. It also is where we record Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street television and radio shows. Milk Street is changing how we cook by learning bold, simple recipes and techniques from cooks all over the world. Milk Street's In-Person Cooking School

<H2>At the Milk Street Cooking School, we use tacos to illustrate our cooking theory because, quite simply, they are the perfect food. In this class, we'll harness both their theoretical and gustatory powers as you learn to make three fantastic tacos including fillings, salsas, and pickles. You'll discover how our signature cooking theory transforms home cooking, and you'll become a better cook along the way. All in 2½ hours. That's the power of a taco.  In class we'll make carnitas, refried beans, shrimp seared in chipotle sauce, multiple salsas and herb-ladden rice to investigate our Taco Theory and build ourselves a perfect dinner. </H2>

 What is the maximum number of students per class?
Different classes have different student/participant caps. Here are general guidelines for maximum student capacity:

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Please get directions to 49 India Street and walk across the street ot the double brown doors, with bowties on them. 177 Milk Street (our building) has multiple doors, most of which are locked by 6 p.m.

What can/can't I bring/wear to the event?
Please wear close-toed shoes and tie back long hair. You are welcome to bring a phone or camera. 
No pets allowed. 
 
Is this a demo or hands-on cooking class?
This is a hands-on cooking class.
 
Should I eat a snack before class?
You will sample throughout class and also sit down to a complete meal once you finish cooking.
 
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes. All students must be 18+ years old. Students 12-17 years old are welcome to participate with an adult guardian or parent.

Is my registration/ticket refundable or transferrable?
Yes. Tickets are refundable or transferable to another class up to seven days before an event. Tickets are transferable to another student for the same class at any time. Within seven days of the event, we do not offer refunds.
