Family Picnic hosted by the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas for individuals with Down syndrome of all ages and their immediate family members.

Southern Cross

The DSG is excited to be returning to The Southern Cross Ranch this year for a day of family fun for the DSG Annual Family Picnic. The Southern Cross Ranch activities include a petting zoo, fishing ponds (bring your own gear and bait), playground, bubble garden, clown/balloon artist, face painting, bounce house, rock climbing wall, pedal boats, and sports fields and games (equipment provided with the exception of softball gloves). The swimming pool with lifeguard on duty will also be included this year.Lunch will be provided and will consist of a bbq buffet with hot dog meals for the kids. Please note that all menu items except buns, rolls, and desserts do not have gluten containing ingredients; however, they are not prepared in a dedicated gluten free kitchen. Certified gluten free cookies will be available for dessert for those unable to enjoy the regular dessert.This event is free for all people with Down syndrome and their immediate family members. Additional registrations may be purchased for $28 each for ages 4 and older. All children ages 3 and under are free, but must be registered.Please note this event is valued at $28 per person. Donations are always appreciated to help us offset the costs of our programs and events. It is also asked that you please only register if you plan to attend. If you are no longer able to attend or your numbers change, please let us know ASAP to help us avoid unnecessary costs.Space is limited and advance registration is required.
