Join Mohammad Mehrabani of Saint Abdullah in a collaborative, collective study, where we will explore who lives in 14b across NYC.

Inspired by a passage from David Toop&#x27;s book, Ocean of Sound:&quot;Who&#x27;s in the next flat? who&#x27;s in 14-B?&quot; asks psychologist James Hillman in We&#x27;ve had a hundred years of psychotherapy and the world&#x27;s getting worse. &quot;I don&#x27;t know who they are, but, boy, I&#x27;m on the phone, car phone, toilet phone, plane phone, my mistress is in Chicago, the other woman I&#x27;m with is in D.C., my ex wife is in Phoenix, my mother in Hawaii, and I have four children living all over the Country. I have faxes coming in day and night, I can plug into all the world&#x27;s stock prices, commodity exchanges, I am. everywhere, man - but I don&#x27;t know who&#x27;s in 14-B.&quot;Join Music Resident Alum Mohammad Mehrabani of Saint Abdullah for less of a class and more of a collective, collaborative study, wherein participants will indeed explore who lives in 14b across New York City. Unit 14b will merely become a jumping off point, our totally arbitrary entryway into discovering the current state of neighborliness in New York City.Date: This in-person workshop will meet twice on Tuesday, June 13 and Thursday, June 29 from 7-9pm.Price: $60Audience: Open to all.Materials: Materials will be provided.Accessibility: Classes will meet on the 2nd floor, which is accessible via stairs.Saint Abdullah is the moniker of Mohammad and Mehdi, New York based Iranian-Canadian brothers working across sound and music.Inspired by Iran’s religious, political and cultural history, the project was originally formed out of a deep frustration with the way the West perceives – and treats – Muslims and the Islamic faith, challenging stereotypes and acting as a conduit between unnecessary enemies.
