The Federal Aviation Administration has nine regional offices within the U.S. Each region is expanding outreach with in-person events. The goal is to highlight the societal, economic, and educational benefits of drones for the general public, through a series of events focusing on different audiences. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. Please note that there may be additional costs for lunch.Droning On: Southwest Edition will take place September 21-23, 2023 at Northern New Mexico College, Arts Annex. The event will be three days of panels, lectures, and demonstrations. Thursday, September 21: Education Day<ul><li>Learn about K-12 and post-secondary schools with UAS programs </li><li>Information on careers in drones</li><li>Tools for educators </li><li>Hands on activities</li><li>Information for students</li></ul>Friday, September 22 : Public Service Day<ul><li>Public Safety training </li><li>Panels on Rules and Regulations </li><li>Government best practices and resources </li></ul>Saturday, September 23 : Drone Fun Day <ul><li>Fly a drone!</li><li>Drone Simulators</li><li>Racing</li><li>D﻿rodeo</li></ul>Drone demonstrations will happen each day!Come talk with professionals and experts about drones, learn about their many uses, and have fun.
