As we close Black Maternal Health Week 2023, join us to discuss the importance of Cultivating Safe Spaces for Black Birthing People Using Trauma Informed Care (TIC). We will delve into their experiences, including the historical context that has contributed to the current state of affairs in maternal health care.The webinar will explore the ways in which TIC can help to break down barriers and provide a more inclusive and equitable care experience for Black birthing people, the most at-risk demographic.Our speakers, Inas-Khalidah Mahdi, ﻿MPH, Dr.Ph(c) and Jennie Joseph, LM, CPM, experts in the field of maternal health, will share their insights and knowledge through discussion, followed by a Q&amp;A session. Participants will come away with a greater understanding of the importance of trauma-informed care in maternal health, and practical strategies to implement in their own practices and advocacy work.This webinar is open to anyone interested in learning about how to support and centre Black birthing people through their prenatal and postpartum journey.
