I﻿n this training the following topics will be covered:<ul><li>Q&A: During this session, please bring your trafficking scenarios so you can ask us what else you need to ask for your screening</li><li>T visa screening checklist – let’s talk through some basics</li><li>Things we thought we’d never have to ask </li><li>Things we thought we’d never have to say</li><li>Improving questions about recruitment</li><li>Talking to people who aren’t being truthful (or telling the whole story)</li><li>How much can you learn in one session? </li></ul> o	Providing time for people to remember, or decide what they can talk about o	How specific do you get? o	Should they write it down? o	Asking yes or no questions (sometimes)<ul><li>Making sure to ask questions that may establish timelines and jurisdictions</li></ul>

Speakers: Jennifer Amo, Retired FBI Agent, NYSpeaker Qualifications:Jennifer Amo is a retired FBI Senior Investigator/Special Agent. Based in New York, she has extensive experience in conducting complex investigations. She effectively utilized various information sources to analyze cases for potential criminal charges related to human trafficking. She trained other law enforcement personnel on conducting investigations and analyzing data and worked with diverse populations to gain information through rapport development and trust. From 1999 to 2005, she worked for the FBI in Los Angeles, California. From 2005 to 2021, she was an FBI Special Agent in Buffalo, New York. She provides expert-level opinions in human trafficking cases as a consultant.

A certificate of attendance will be provided upon request for those who need proof of attendance. •	Attorney-supervised paralegals may attend for educational purposes. •	Attorney-supervised means the paralegal must be employed by a licensed attorney and under regular supervision to prevent the unauthorized practice of law. •	Attorneys signing up paralegals take responsibility for their employee’s registration fees and participation in the program and agree to pay full and fair wages for time the paralegal trains in the seminar as part of work hours/on-the-job training. This is an interdisciplinary seminar, so please be mindful that we will have individuals of various levels of knowledge attending and have law enforcement, therapists, and other anti-trafficking professionals in attendance. It will be an excellent opportunity for all.
