Queer to Tell: A Pride Month Storytelling Series

Queer To Tell is a NYC born national storytelling series that features LGBTQIA+ storytellers, is hosted by a local drag/queer performance artist, and takes place at Queer-owned/affirming spaces across the country. The series takes place in non-traditional performance spaces to create a space that feels like an intimate gathering audiences are happening upon rather than a theatrical performance. Each show has a different theme that allows for storytellers to share the universal experiences we as a community share but also the nuances of our different identities. This series was established to document the myriad of stories that exist within the LGBTQIA+ community, facilitate and encourage community building, and claim space in places that are actively celebrating and protecting us.

<h3>Nick Eibler/Lavender Public, in association with On The Quays, are thrilled to announce <strong>Queer To Tell: a Pride Month Storytelling Series</strong> this upcoming June. Queer To Tell is a storytelling series that takes place over three weeks during Pride Month at different LGBTQIA+ owned businesses. Each show will have a different theme inspired by the venue for the evening and host a variety of Queer-identifying storytellers. Come celebrate Pride Month with us for a wonderful night in Queer spaces, celebrating Queer voices, telling even Queerer stories!</h3><h3>Queer to Tell was created  as a way to share the wide breadth of LGBTQIA+ experience in a non-conventional, intimate yet performative way, cultivate intergenerational community, and highlight the wide variety of Queer-owned businesses and spaces thriving in New York City today.</h3><h3>This week's theme - <strong>You Are What You Wear</strong>: Stories inspired by the incredible fashion and presentation of LGBTQIA+ people.</h3><p><strong>Doors open at 7:30. Show starts at 8.</strong></p><p><strong>Details About Venue:</strong></p><ul><li>Space allows for both standing and sitting, so arrive early if you want guaranteed seating.</li><li>BYOB is welcome. <strong>No red wine.</strong></li><li>There is an on site bathroom.</li></ul><p>**A portion of proceeds go towards <strong>Transgender Law Center</strong> to help combat nationwide Anti -Trans and Anti - LGBTQ legislation.</p>
