Young Naturalists: City Nature Challenge

ThePennypack Environmental Centerresides on the land of theLenape, and was originally dedicated as a bird sanctuary in 1958. Today, the Center has an outdoor amphitheater, exhibits, a reference library, and campfire and picnic areas. On this final day of the City Nature Challenge, our Young Naturalists will have a chance to officially participate.

Homeschool programs and other programs for school-age children.

<h3></h3><h3>On this final day of the <a href="https://www.citynaturechallenge.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">City Nature Challenge</a> , our Young Naturalists will have a chance to participate and add their observations to Philadelphia’s observation count. We will return to the ponds, forest, and meadow to capture photos of as many species as possible.

</h3><h3> <a href="https://www.inaturalist.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">iNaturalist</a>experience or camera, phone or app not required. </h3><h3>Ages 8-12. </h3><h3>Free. </h3><h3>Parking is available at the center with additional street parking.  </h3><h3>The center, bathrooms, and picnic areas are all accessible, <em>however, the trails are rocky and uneven. </em></h3><h3>This is an all-weather, outdoor program.
