ThePennypack Environmental Centerresides on the land of theLenape, and was originally dedicated as a bird sanctuary in 1958. Today, the Center has an outdoor amphitheater, exhibits, a reference library, and campfire and picnic areas. City Nature Challenge is this weekend! We will introduce our Young Naturalists to the iNaturalist app and the Challenge. Ages 8-12

Tots to Teens

Homeschool programs and other programs for school-age children.

<h3>Join us as we prepare for the <a href="https://www.citynaturechallenge.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">City Nature Challenge</a> this weekend! We will introduce our Young Naturalists to the <a href="https://www.inaturalist.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">iNaturalist</a> app and practice observation skills, and then explore the ponds, forest, and meadow capturing photos and uploading them to the app for identification.  </h3><h3>Ages 8-12. </h3><h3>Free. </h3><h3>iNaturalist experience or camera, phone or app not required. </h3><h3>Parking is available at the center with additional street parking.  </h3><h3>The center, bathrooms, and picnic areas are all accessible, <em>however, the trails are rocky and uneven. </em></h3><h3>This is an all-weather, outdoor program.
