JOIN US on Saturday, April 1st for the Ann Arbor launch of Dr. Stevan Weine's groundbreaking new biography, "Best Minds: How Allen Ginsberg Made Revolutionary Poetry From Madness."
FIRST, Dr. Weine will preside over a truly dynamic talk incorporating readings, reflections, audio, images, and discussion, before segueing the evening into a panel discussion featuring David Stephen Calonne, author of six totemic works of biography &amp; literary scholarship. These include "Diane Di Prima: Visionary Poetics and the Hidden Religions (New York: Bloomsbury, 2019), "The Spiritual Imagination of the Beats" (New York: Cambridge University Press, 2017) and is also among the world's foremost living scholars on the life &amp; work of Charles Bukowski.
Before concluding, Dr. Calonne &amp; Dr. Weine will open up the event further, taking questions from the audience on The Beat Generation, Ginsberg, or any of the many scholastic specialties these titanic Beat-scholarly heavyweights share.
