Girls Rock

Our next ride is April 8th, and it is fast approaching! We will meet at the Bike Church, Santa Cruz&#x27;s Community bicycle shop and tool collective.  Honoring Bike Church’s mission of re-use and recycling,  we will also have a bike clothing swap.What&#x27;s a bike clothing swap?  Simply bring your new or gently used bike clothing/kits and accessories/gear and swap it for something else. What a fun way to clean out your closet and help others get something special at an affordable price -- FREE!Guides and VolunteersGuides and volunteers wanted!  We have a few special roles needed for this event such as assisting with the clothing swap setup and helping with our bike valet.  We can always use helpers with registration, set-up, and GUIDES.  Just sign up at the registration and indicate you&#x27;d like to volunteer.Schedule<ul><li>9:00 am — Check-in </li><li>9:00- 9:45 am — Bike clothing/gear swap.  Bring gently used or new bike clothes/kits to exchange with others</li><li>9:30 - 9:45 am – Guide meeting</li><li>9:45 – 10:00 am — Announcements, raffle, group photo</li><li>10:00 am — Roll out to trails</li><li>12:00 – 2:00pm — Riders return to Bike Church.  Return times vary by group.  While we won’t be hosting a post ride refreshment hour, we encourage you to visit one of our favorite breweries or local restaurants.</li>Location &amp; Parking</ul>We will meet at the Bike Church located at 703 Pacific Avenue (enter on Spruce St), Santa Cruz, CA 95062.  here will also be reserved street parking on the street surrounding our host. Look for open spots with a Girls Rock “reserved” meter.Limited parking is also availble across the street at Yan Flower, 617 Pacific Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95060.   Unload your bike and bring it to our volunteer bike valets at the Yan Flower parking lot.  Bike or carpool encouraged (and get an extra raffle ticket!) Important Reminders-Health: If you don’t feel well, please stay home. Bring a mask to wear if you cannot socially distance. -Safety: Mountain biking is a dangerous sport. Bring locks to secure bikes after the ride; do not leave valuables unattended-Sorry, no demos this month.
