Join us for our 2023 Info Sessions, co-hosted by a wide range of community partners in Philadelphia. You'll learn about our direct-to-artist grant, and each step of the application process. Scheduled for a variety of days and times, online and in-person!

Join us at The Rotunda on Monday, May 1 at 6:00 PM, where you can learn more about The Velocity Fund's application — open now thru June 6.A﻿merican Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be offered at this info session.Accessibility Details: This event will be in-person and indoors. Masks are recommended. The Rotunda is ramp-accessible via the right side of the building, towards the back. Enter the hallway and turn right. There is a single occupancy, ADA-compliant, all-gender restroom on the first level, close to the ramp. This restroom is also equipped with a baby changing station. The venue is equipped with sturdy, armless chairs.The entrance on the left side of the building toward the back has seven steps up into the building. Enter the building and turn left. <a href="https://velocityfund.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Velocity Fund</a> directly supports Philadelphia-based artists with project grants up to $5000. Open to a wide range of experimental practices, particularly those that emphasize collaboration between artistic genres.The Velocity Fund is administered by <a href="https://www.philadelphiacontemporary.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Philadelphia Contemporary</a> and is supported by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts&#x27;s <a href="https://warholfoundation.org/grants/regional-regranting/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Regional Regranting</a> Program. <a href="https://thevelocityfund.submittable.com/submit" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Applications open</a>: March 24 – June 6, 2023

<a href="https://www.therotunda.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Rotunda</a>, located at 4014 Walnut Street in Philadelphia, PA, is a community-gathering place that is fueled by the belief that art is a catalyst for social change and that the arts can lead to the formation of meaningful partnerships between our parent organization - the University of Pennsylvania - and surrounding neighborhoods. Over 300 events are offered every year, including live music, film, spoken word, theater, art, dance, education, youth programs, arts incubation, and various experimental genres. Anyone may produce an event, and receive resources to help them do it! As an alcohol-free venue, The Rotunda provides a critical social alternative for all ages. At its core, The Rotunda is a shared space fostering learning, enrichment, and community support while empowering the public to present, produce, and promote their work.P﻿hoto credit: Hanbit Kwon
