Concert II of MOCM captivates you with music for strings by Grieg and Dvořák ---each writing these exuberant works in a time of great joy. Grieg/ Violin Sonata No. 2 in G Major, Op.13Dvořák/ String Sextet in A Major, Op. 48The mission of the Missouri Chamber Music Festival (MOCM) is to bring the fine art of small ensemble playing to a wide audience through dynamic and accessible performances of the highest quality. MOCM invites nationally recognized professional musicians to historic Webster Groves, Missouri and St. Louis venues to perform a series of chamber music concerts as part of an annual festival which takes place each June. Diverse programming, including new and commissioned works, is a defining attribute of the festival, helping to illuminate the exciting, extraordinary, and diverse nuance of the small ensemble genre.
