Unbroken: The Book Club

We are so excited to have you join us for this ten-week book club. The plan is really simple.Each week, we'll meet for about an hour and a half and do three things:Move through the main concepts in the chapter.Talk about what moved us/confused us/gave us hope.Try out the tool and unpack the one from the previous week.You will learn how to understand the miraculous neurobiology that got you here, and how to recalibrate it when it goes a tad haywire. Also? We're going to share and laugh and probably cry.

Also? We&#x27;re going to share and laugh and probably cry. NAVIGATING THE GOOGLE CLASSROOM: This is super simple, not a lot to say here. Please keep this announcements thread clean on this page - Sam and I will use it for important announcements. Our homework assignments will go under the tab that says CLASSWORK, and there will be a giant chat thread for all students there too. A WORD ON TRIGGERS: This is a ten-week book club on trauma. Stuff is going to come up. Let&#x27;s set an intention off the bat to make this a brave space. What is a brave space? A lot of the time we hear about the importance of a safe-space – a place that has a main goal of fostering comfort.That’s so good and important a lot of the time – but sometimes comfort is a barrier to growth. A brave space, on the other hand, is one where we encourage mutual learning and accountability.
