Career workshop:  Professionals from high tech companies like Facebook, LinkedIn, and JinkoSolar, who work  in the fields of big data, AI and egergy will share their stories and insights on the first job, workplace politics, setting priorities,  and career path change. (Dinner is available after 6pm)

     1.  "How to succeed in your first job" (in Chinese) — Tim Liu, Engineering manager at Facebook
           How to tackle top career challenges in the first job in Silicon Valley? How to communicate to  your boss and peers? How to take initiatives? How to plan your career path?
     2. “How to tackle politics in the workplace” (in Chinese) -- Jeff Juger, Director of BD at JinkoSolar
           What to look at when others play politics in the workplace? How to use them to your advantage as you grow your career?   Sharing experience on common tactics that can help you thrive. 
     3. “Setting the right priority in your job” (in English) – Mandy Lau, Senior HR Manager
           Why setting a right priority is important in career management? How to set and manage the priority? 
     4. “How to succeed in a career path change” (in Chinese) – Bo Long, Director of AI Foundations at LinkedIn
          Why to change career path? When to consider career path change? How to plan a career path change? Sharing experience on switching career to AI area.

<H2 CLASS="MsoNormal">Speakers</H2>
1. Tim Liu is  Engineering Manager of GROWTH & BigData at Facebook. He worked at at Cisco and eBay with extensive engineering experience. He holds a Master in Computer Science from  UT Austin.
 2. Jeff Juger is  Director of U.S. Business Development at JinkoSolar, where he develops strategic initiatives, conducts solar market and policy analysis, maintains government relations, builds the brand, and communicates the company’s strong bankable position to financial institutions.  Jeff holds BAs in International Relations & East Asian Studies from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management
 3. Mandy Lau has over 20 years of HR related experience in both consulting and high tech industries.  She is a Senior Manager at a high tech company where she has worked for over 10 years.   She spent half of her career in Asia and half in the US.  Mandy holds a BA in Actuarial Science at the University of Illinois from Urbana Champaign and MBA from University of Manchester, UK.
 4. Dr.  Bo Long is  Director of Engineering leading LinkedIn’s AI Foundations team. Formerly he co-founded a startup and  worked at Yahoo! Labs, IBM Watson and Google.  He has 15+ years’ experience in AI area. He holds a PhD in Computer Science, Master in Criminal Law, and BA in Chemistry.
