<h1>TASTE OF BLACK STL 2023</h1><h1>&quot;COMMUNITY IS UNITY&quot;</h1><p><a href="https://www.tasteofblackstl.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Taste of Black STL</strong></a> is a multi-sensory food experience based in St. Louis, MO. For the third year The Taste of Black STL highlights the quality, diversity, and the economic impact of food and beverages primarily sourced from black owned businesses in the state of Missouri. Taste of Black STL brings awareness to our city’s black culinary talent and shines a bright light on black owned businesses.</p><p>The three-day festival event is September 8th-10th, festival hours are from Noon- 9:00pm and hosts over 100 + vendors from the Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, and St. Louis Metropolitan area at Poelker Park &amp; Kaufmann Park (across from Soldiers Memorial Plaza). </p><p>The Taste of Black STL has grown year after year, and we are expecting over 80,000 attendees through the weekend. <strong>Admission is FREE</strong>. TOBSTL includes Main Stage, DJ/Block Party, VIP Experience, Chef Battle, 100 + Vendors from Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and St. Louis, Local Artists, Children&#x27;s Area and “Fill - A - Truck” a community charity drive. </p><p>“Fill – A - Truck” is a charity initiative is present by <strong>EVERYBODY EATS INC 501(c)(3)</strong>. Our Biggest Charitable Initiative, and we need your help!</p><p>We are collecting donations from attendees, vendors, and surrounding business to fill an entire 53’ foot semi-truck with the basic things such as toilet paper, personal care items, winter clothing, and bedding. These items can have a profound impact for those who are in need. The truck donations will be delivered to varies homeless shelters for woman, men, and children around the Holidays.</p><p>If you would rather just donate cash, please see our Cash Donations page. Every dollar that is donated will go directly to buy needed items with absolutely no administrative costs. </p><h3>F<strong>riday, September 8th</strong></h3><p>Taste of Black STL 2023 kicks off with “COMMUNITY IS UNITY” Block Party &amp; Honorable Alderman Rasheen Aldridge of the 14th Ward commemorating our “Fill – A - Truck” charity drive and more.</p><p>DJ Boogie Corleone &amp; Cuddy Montana will set the vibe each day on the TOBSTL Soundstage along with culinary demos sponsored by Iron Will Seasonings featuring 2 local Chefs from 1pm to 3pm. Limited tastings slots available for purchase. </p><h3><strong>Saturday, September 9th</strong></h3><p>Taste of Black STL 2023 is “HIP HOP IS LIFE” Block Party! will feature DJ Boogie Corleone &amp; Cuddy Montana and to largest Swagged Surf crowd the city has ever seen and more.</p><p>Iron Will Seasonings Presents a 3-part Chef’s Battle between 4 local chefs that will face off on Saturday &amp; Sunday to be crown Top Chef of TOBSTL.</p><h3><strong>Sunday, September 10th</strong></h3><p>The Taste of Black STL 2023 “Family is Everything” Block Party concludes its final day of amazing food, shopping and entertainment with the Chef showdown taking place on the TOBSTL Soundstage. Followed up by closing of our “Fill the Truck” charity drive and more. </p><p>Visit www.TasteofblackSTL.com to get involved, vendors, sponsorship &amp; volunteer.</p><h3><strong>COVID protocols</strong></h3><p>Taste of Black STL will follow all local, state, and nationally required restrictions as required at the time of our event. Please stay up to date by visiting our website and social media.</p><h3><strong>Safety and Security</strong></h3><p>We work with a variety of different institutions to ensure the safety of every person that attends Taste of Black STL 2023. With the current social and political climate, we have strengthened the security presence at Taste of Black STL 2023. The safety of festival attendees is at the forefront of our planning. </p><p>We utilize a combination of hired security - both marked and unmarked, as well as local police. </p><p>We encourage each person to remain alert to their surroundings and to report any suspicious behavior or packages to security personnel. If you see something say something.</p><p><strong>Parking instructions</strong></p><p>Feel free to locate various parking opportunities on surrounding streets, lots, and parking garages. Be sure not to park at reserved meters or in &quot;no parking&quot; areas. NOTE: parking is available at meters downtown, which are free of charge on Sunday only. Taste of Black STL is unable to reimburse parking violations.</p>
