Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s mission is to protect and restore the Black Warrior River and its tributaries. We are a citizen-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting clean water for the sake of public health, recreation, and wildlife habitat throughout our patrol area, the Black Warrior River watershed.

Join Black Warrior Riverkeeper as we work to cleanup our community and our watershed!

Join us for a day of service on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023.Meeting point: McPherson Landing RoadParking: For the April 2nd cleanup, we will be cleaning along McPherson Landing Rd which is right off of 69 south. For parking, we will be parking along the road since churches will be in service. It has wide shoulders all along the road. On Sunday, look for a black Jeep Patriot to check in and grab supplies.Time: We will be meeting from 9:00am to 11am, but volunteers are not required to come for the entire duration of the event.Safety: This event will take place along the roadside in an area that may not have sidewalks, so please only sign up if you feel comfortable with this. ALL children must be accompanied by an adult.What we encourage volunteers to wear/bring:1. Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty (preferably long pants)2. Closed-toed shoes3. Water4. Sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen)What we will provide:1. Garbage bags2. Gloves &amp; Litter Pickers
