T﻿o say we&#x27;re thrilled to be hosting Claude de Nicolay, winemaker at this generations-old Burgundian icon, would be the understatement of a lifetime. T﻿he wines of Chandon de Briailles truly have no peers. The small estate, nestled in Savigny, is a favorite of ours for finessed, nuanced, age worthy wines; our shelves aren&#x27;t often lined with cru Burgundy, but we always have Chandon de Briailles. E﻿stablished in 1834, this historic estate has been helmed by several generations of woman winemakers, an unfortunate rarity in the high-stakes game of Burgundian holdings. Claude de Nicolay took over from her mother, Nadine, in 1988; Nadine had already converted the estate to organics, and a biodynamic approach was next to come. The estate&#x27;s commitment to traditional production has never wavered, and wild yeast fermentation and old oak use rule the day in their small cellar. These truly are some of the purest expressions of Burgundian terroir being made today, and it&#x27;s an honor to host Claude for this very special evening.J﻿oin us for a selected tasting of Claude&#x27;s 1er Savigny and Grand Cru Corton (!) wines. We&#x27;ll also taste side-by-side 1er Cru Ile des Vergelesses bottlings as exploration of the effect of sulfites on terroir. T﻿he price of this class is a little higher than usual, as it&#x27;s a 1.5 hour tasting of extremely rare wines with ample time for questions and conversation.T﻿his truly is the opportunity of a lifetime; please don&#x27;t miss out! Seating is extremely limited.C﻿lass includes a 1.5 hour tasting with 30 minutes for questions and conversation. We&#x27;ll taste 4 wines, guided by Claude. P﻿lease note that this is an indoor class hosted at Wild Child. T﻿ickets are non-refundable.
