Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation is a private nonprofit whose mission is to protect and enhance our communities&#x27; livability through public engagement, education, and the sustainability of our parks, open spaces, and trails. The Parks Foundation works to strengthen the bond between community members and their parks by cultivating awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of our open spaces.As a part of the Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation’s goal of engaging and educating communities through our parks and open spaces, TMPF is actively restoring the wetland ecosystem of our communities&#x27; newest publicly accessible Nature Study Area. We invite you to visit the Rosewood Nature Study Area and learn about the techniques and tools employed by our own Wetland Restoration Technicians in the process of habitat restoration and monitoring. Join us for a visit to our Nature Center and an educational guided tour through the thriving Rosewood NSA!A﻿ll ages are welcome!Special parking instructions: Enter the parking lot for the Rosewood Nature Study Area from Pembroke Drive.Safety requirements: Closed toed shoes are recommended. Accessibility Information: A portion of the trail is paved, a portion is packed dirt, and a portion is gravel. The packed dirt and gravel portions may be difficult for wheelchairs to access.This event is part of the Northern Nevada Science and Technology Festival held April 24th-29th.
