The Friends of Pelham Bay Park was organized to help preserve the park for present and future generations, ensuring that it is always used for recreation, education, and conservation. This diverse group is comprised of community members from all walks of life who care about preserving the park. In cooperation with the NYC Parks, the Friends bring community events, youth programs, and restoration projects to the Bronx’s flagship park.

Playground for all Children

Jeanne, a Bronxite born and raised, loves photographing nature and wildlife. Her photos have wowed judges in our photo contests! Let Jeanne show you her tips and tricks for getting amazing nature photos in Pelham Bay Park on this walking tour. Bring a camera! T﻿his experience is geared toward people aged 12 or older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Check in at the Friends of Pelham Bay Park table at Earthfest in the Playground for All Children.E﻿arthfest is our annual event celebrating Earth Day with the Pelham Bay Park Administrator&#x27;s Office. Learn about our planet through interactive experiences with animals, arts and crafts, and speaking with community groups. This family-friendly event is free. E﻿arthfest is from 12 pm to 3 pm, in the Playground for All Children. If you&#x27;d like to take part in a volunteer event before Earthfest, please email us at friendsofpelhambaypark@gmail.com.
