No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. Click here to join today.</a></p><h2>Soul Hug: Respite for Your Nervous System</h2><h3>Domains: Healing Work, Body Work</h3><p>Soul Hug is a space where folks can show up, as they are, and receive respite for their nervous systems. A place to escape the fast pace nature of capitalism and breathe deeply, be embodied, and share space with others who are doing the same.  Small group discussions and large group sharing will revolve around what participants are bringing with them, in that moment. With no set agenda, participants get to experience the freedom of being in the present moment with whatever is alive in their bodies and the container.</p><p>La Shanda Sugg, LPC is a trauma-specializing therapist and training consultant. Her trauma expertise and ability to make complex concepts easy to understand make her work accessible. Her authenticity and transparency as a trauma survivor make people want to listen. La Shanda founded Labors of Love Counseling and Consulting, LLC to help organizations understand trauma and the traumatic stress of racism and other forms of oppression and help them move towards Cultural Humility and Somatic Abolitionism.  As a therapist, she helps relationships and communities Move from Coping to Healing. Through her podcast, The Labors of Love Podcast, La Shanda and her guests invite people into a world of healing, wholeness, and mental wellness. Individuals may choose to wear a mask for personal protection, and as always, we ask anyone who is feeling sick or has a high temperature to not attend until they are recovered.
