Collective Creations: Healing through Performance

Awakenings provides survivors of sexual violence with a trauma-informed, inclusive art-making experience that encourages healing.We believe the power of art-making as healing is amplified when we integrate into a creative community. We help survivors of sexual violence heal through art by providing year-round art workshops, storytelling events, and more at our studio space in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago. Our programming allows survivors to connect with each other through communal, healing arts activities in a safe, trauma-informed environment.

In this workshop, participants will be exploring survivorship and healing through everyday movement and group storytelling. No prior performance experience necessary! Sunday May 7th, 2:00pm-5:00pm 4001 N. Ravenswood Ave, Suite 204-C This workshop is open to allies and advocates and survivors of sexual violence. All ages welcome, please notify us ahead of the workshop if you are under 18. https://www.awakeningsart.org/workshops
