Do I need meditation experience?

Accepted Answer

No, not at all.  We will include basic meditation instruction at the beginning.  Meditators of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged.

Do I have to sit on the floor?

Traditional meditation practice is done on a cushion or zafu but if you are not comfortable with that chairs will be available.

Can I bring my own cushion?

What Buddhist Tradition is this?

Accepted Answer

I am a Theravada Buddhist practitioner and teacher however I also have and do study in the Soto Zen and Kadampa Tibetan traditions so there will be some of those perspectives as well.  These teachings are fairly universal, so if you have studied in another tradition you are welcome to attend
