Question 1

Are children allowed to attend the event?

Accepted Answer

Sadly, due to the space and liabilities, the Indie Wine Mixer is a "21+" event. Many of the participating winemakers are parents, and we love kiddos. That said, adult-only parties are a great way to unwind. Treat yourself! Get a babysitter!

Question 2

What about dogs?

Accepted Answer

Dogs ARE allowed. They must be well-behaved (no barking, no potty accidents), and on leash at all times. While we are dog-lovers at the Indie Wine Mixer, please consider the environment. We are anticipating a lot of people, and it could be a stressful environment for poochie.

Question 3

And, Designated Drivers?

Accepted Answer

We'll let them in, too!
We applaud those friends that take one for the team, so that the team can party on. It's a smart thing to do. DD's do NOT need to purchase a ticket, and will be given a different bracelet. We will have water stations, and a food truck with NA drinks, too!

Question 4

It's a two-day event. Can I go both days?

Accepted Answer

You can...but you'll need to purchase a ticket for each day. Which we encourage! Remember, 5% of ticket sales go toward veterans organizations. So, come back for a second round, and know you're supporting good causes.

Question 5

What makes a winery "indie?"

Accepted Answer

For us, an indie winery is one that puts in all the work on a shoestring and a dream. Our wineries produce less than 2000 cases, and are all individual or family-based. Our participating wineries lack tasting rooms and are striving to compete in a very hard industry. Indie simply means "badass."

Question 6

Are tickets sold at the door?

Accepted Answer

YES! While we prefer knowing how many folks are coming--and there is limited capacity--we will gladly sell tickets at the door. The more the merrier!
