We invite you to join us in fellowship for an evening of hope and reflection for those we've lost to suicide, suicide survivors, those affected by suicide and to increase awareness and sensitivity about suicide and suicide prevention.The Erick A Garcia You Are Enough Foundation is Sponsoring the First Annual Candlelight Vigil in recognition of world Suicide Prevention Day on Sunday September 10, 2023, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at The Poncitlan Square 38315 9th Street East Palmdale Ca 93550.This event will honor the memory of those who have died by suicide, survivors and those impacted by suicide. It will also increase awareness and sensitivity relative to mental wellness, suicide and suicide prevention. We will have therapists on site and Therapy Dogs from High Desert Obedience "Pet Pals Pet Assisted Therapy. candles will be provided. testimonials and moments of silence. Bring your chair and blanket. If you cannot make it but want to show support, light a candle and place it in your window (considering fire safety) post on social media. About The Erick A Garcia You Are Enough Foundation Our Mission StatementOur mission is to connect people to mental health resources. We bring educational resources for mental health and wellbeing to our community. Our main focus is to increase mental health awareness and suicide prevention awareness in our community. We aim to reduce the stigma often associated with seeking mental health care. We collaborate with other nonprofits, schools and local agencies for community events to bring awareness and help end the stigma behind mental health. We have three main events that we host to our community. We also award the "You Are Enough" scholarship to Antelope Valley high school students and we offer grief support to our community in English and Spanish in partnership with Adventist Health Glendale Beyond Loss Bereavement Ministry. We Brought the first mental health walk in the Antelope Valley October 1, 2022!
