Arlington needs valuable tree services provided to YOUR community-energy savings, clean air, easing hot days, health, beauty, well-being.

Lubber Run Community Center

You are invited to see your neighborhood’s tree canopy assets and comment on your interests and desired actions. Learn how to use the new assessment of Arlington&#x27;s urban tree canopy and the many ecological and social benefits trees provide. Participants will have access to large maps showing the distribution of the ecosystem services by neighborhood with ample time to ask specific questions. Based on the assessment and participants comments, recommendations for future activity will be advanced. A list of supplementary resources for individual use and organizing local campaigns will be available. This meeting continues the work of the Civic Federation to preserve Arlington&#x27;s urban tree canopy and the many public services it provides. In February, the staff from the Green Infrastructure Center (GIC) presented a County-wide assessment of the urban tree canopy (you can view it here or at <a href="https://www.arlingtontreeactiongroup.org/take-action-today/new-tree-canopy-results-from-civic-federation-webinar)" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.arlingtontreeactiongroup.org/take-action-today/new-tree-canopy-results-from-civic-federation-webinar)</a>. This will be an in-person meeting at the Lubber Run Community Center. The large room has good ventilation and activities will be conducted in a manner to mitigate health concerns.
