S﻿essions will include:T﻿hursday - 1 p.m. - P﻿reserving open space and community character. Cluster development, land trusts, transferable development rights, cluster development and other tools. 1.5 hours. No education credits for real estate or appraiser.T﻿hursday 4 p.m - 7 p.m. - Ground Rules: Overview of Land Use Regulations in Utah. Craig Call, Wilf Sommerkorn and Jordan Cullimore's three hour overview of land use law. This is the same introduction to land use law presented in Washington, St. George, and Parowan in recent months. Education credits for attorneys, planners, real estate, appraisers, planning commission members.Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - General Sessions <ul><li>N﻿ew legislation on growth, housing, and land use regulation</li><li>H﻿ow to keep local ordinances current</li><li>T﻿he role of public hearings in the land use process</li><li>T﻿he latest efforts to promote housing affordability.</li><li>S﻿hort term rentals/accessory dweling units</li></ul>P﻿lus - Featured Keynote Speaker Prof. Arthur C. Nelson will speak at lunch on Friday - Don't Let Growth Stop You - Southern Utah's Future. Education credits for attorneys, planners, real estate, appraisers and planning commission members may be available. Check prior to event to be sure.N﻿OTE: The food provided free of charge is quite expensive. If you sign up for general admission or for Friday with food, please let us know if you later determine that you cannot come. This will also allow someone else to come if we run short of space.
