Join us for a Weed Wrangler event to learn about the management of Invasive Species, and celebrate National Invasive Species Awareness Week!

ABAC's Georgia Museum of Agriculture

This event is sponsored by the Gaskins Forest Education Center and the UGA - Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health with Guest Speakers from USDA NRCS. We plan to get started at 9am in the Peanut Museum Conference Room at the Welcome Center of the Georgia Museum Of Agriculture. We will start out with a short introduction to invasive species, before heading out to a nature trail for an herbicide demonstration. Then we will proceed to do some invasive species removal work on the nature trail and learn how to utilize the EDDMapS App to report and track invasive species. We hope to finish by noon, but if anyone has any questions or would like to keep working, feel free to stay later with us!We will have education animals to help with the introduction to invasive species.What to Bring:<ul><li>Comfortable outdoor clothes and gloves if you'd like.</li><li>Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks.
