塩沼亮潤大阿闍梨「人生は毎日が小さな修行」

大峯山開山至上2人目の大峯千日回峰行を達成した大阿闍梨、塩沼亮潤。死を覚悟の上での修行の中で大阿闍梨がつかんだものは？今回のハワイ講演では、千日回峰行の映像を交えて、お話をしてくださいます。
 “片道24キロ、高低差1300メートル以上の山道を16時間かけて1日で往復。9年の歳月をかけて4万8000キロを歩く。 そういう苦行を経験したから、悟れるのではない。大事なのは、行から得たものを生活の中でよく実践することである。 それぞれに与えられた場でそれぞれに与えられた役目を果たしていく中でも、多くのことを感じ、悟ることができる。だから、私たちの人生はすべて修行なのである。”
塩沼亮潤
1968年、仙台生まれ。高校卒業後、千日回峰行に憧れ、奈良県吉野の金峯山寺で出家得度。1999年には大峯千日回峰行満行。2000年に9日間、食べず、飲まず、眠らず、横にならずの無行満行。その後出身地の仙台に慈眼寺を開山、住職となる。2006年には百日間五穀と塩を絶ち、一昼夜護摩を焚き続ける八千枚大護摩供を満行。その特殊な経験を生かして共著を含め10冊以上の執筆活動。TEDやNHKのSWITCHインタビュー、TBSのクレイジージャーニー、グロービス知見録など、メディア出演も多い。日本各地のみならず、ロンドン、ニューヨーク、ロスアンゼルス、ハワイと講演活動も多い。
