The Health Federation of Philadelphia(HFP) serves as a keystone supporting a network of Community Health Centers as well as the broader base of public and private-sector organizations that deliver health and human services to vulnerable populations.

This training will offer the community a chance to teach health care staff about their experiences of the drug crisis.

<p><strong>Where:</strong> Virtual (Zoom)</p><h3>This training will offer health care teams  an opportunity to learn from people with lived experience with drug use  about their experiences of the local drug crisis.</h3><h3>Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about drugs that are commonly used and why, and how they impact patients’ lives.</h3><h3>Additionally, this program will describe how the practice of cultural humility in a clinical setting benefits patients’ care and the treatment of substance use disorders.</h3><p><strong>Continuing Education Credits Offered</strong></p><p><strong>TARGET AUDIENCE:</strong> Medical providers (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, RNs), and other healthcare professionals including those who are part of integrated teams providing care for people who use drugs.</p><p><strong>Objectives:</strong></p><ol><li>Describe drugs that are commonly used in Philadelphia and why</li><li>Recognize and apply compassionate approaches to clinical care in communities impacted by drug use</li></ol><p></p>
