The Skylark Lounge is a historic Denver bar located in the Baker neighborhood on South Broadway. As an independent music venue, the Skylark Upstairs (aka Bobcat Club) is focused on highlighting great up and coming local and national acts. <a href="https://hannahaas.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">H﻿anna Haas</a>is a songwriter drawn to the dance of light and dark. Currently based in Portland Oregon, she has come to call the entire West Coast her home. Hanna describes her music as “contemplative folk,” identifying with artists Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, and Feist for their alternate tunings and mesmerizing melodies. Hanna loves to engage her audiences in sweet story telling and laughter, leaving her audience in a state of heart-felt introspection.Her debut album is called, To Her, the Sea, released Spring 2022. Each song seeks to capture the blessings and curses of our lives and the beauty of both. Grief, heartbreak, softening, and surrender, and a hope for redemption and solace through it all. The album is produced and engineered by Sean Ogilvie at his home studio in Southeast Portland. Not just the self that you show everyone, but the spaces so vulnerable they may even hurt. The weight and noticing of right now.Our hope is to create living room spaces inside of me &amp; you. Whether that be in your actual living room, or on a stage, we hope the conversation is as thin and clear as all our fragile beings can be sometimes.
