Event Description: Explore how two seemingly different models can be blended to create a dynamic and engaging skills training group that addresses resistances and facilitates emotional growth. We will explore relevant concepts from both theoretic approaches as they pertain to group facilitation separately from one another and then as a combined technique. 
Workshop Objectives: In this workshop participants will...  
1. Explore fundamentals of DBT and Modern Analytic groups. 2. Study the intersection of these two models and how they are blended. 3. Participate in a demonstration group that incorporates both models of treatment. 
About the Presenter: DeLinda Spain, LCSW, CGP, CEDS has been a therapist in Austin for almost 20 years. She specializes in individuals with Eating Disorders, BPD and trauma. She also specializes in group therapy, both long-term ongoing process groups and short-term goal oriented groups. She is trained in both DBT and Modern Analytic theories. She has been supervising trainees and new clinicians for 10 years. She has had the pleasure of being able to present on a variety of topics in the US, Russia and Romania.  DeLinda is currently the Clinical Director for Therapy Austin and has a private practice.
