Are you a teacher educator who is frustrated with the lack of evidence-based resources for talking responsibly about racial identity and inclusion? Are you or your students overwhelmed or concerned about saying the wrong thing?

We can’t stop racism if we can’t talk about it. Students around the country are desperate for informed, critical conversations about race and are looking to their teachers for guidance. Yet, there is an underlying fear, especially among white students and teachers, that they will get it wrong and make things worse. But silence and avoidance are not strategies. 


J﻿enna Chandler-Ward and Elizabeth Denevi, authors of Learning and Teaching While White: Antiracist Strategies for School Communities, offer this free one-hour presentation to help you identify research-backed tools that white teachers need to navigate an often overwhelming but crucial topic.


This session is open to all P-20 educators and designed with teacher educators in mind. While applicable to educators of all racial backgrounds, we will put a particular emphasis on the role of white educators in dismantling systems of racial oppression.
