GET THERE EARLY!!!  CHECK-IN OPENS AT 7:45AMBrought to you by <a href="http://hmprg.org/programs/chicagoahec/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">﻿</a><a href="https://medicine.missouri.edu/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">University of Missouri School of Medicine</a> Join us for an exciting day of mentorship, medical exposure, and networking, as we strengthen the future of healthcare.  Students (students 3rd grade and up), parents, educators, healthcare professionals, and community leaders are all welcome! In response to an alarming report that highlighted the decreasing number of black men applying to medical school, Dr. Dale Okorodudu began Black Men In White Coats in 2013. Black Men in White Coats has worked closely with medical schools, high schools, and physicians to provide inspiration and mentorship to our youth who may be interested in healthcare as a profession. In April 2023, Black Men in White Coats will continue this work with the University of Missouri School of Medicine by bringing students (boys &amp; girls 3rd grade and above), educators, parents, physicians, and community leaders together for a full day summit! Over the course of the day, students will engage in hands-on activities and network with healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds. The goal is to inspire and show them that though not many, there are people who look like them in this field, and if we can do it, they can do it.*****Refreshments will be providedBlack Men In White Coats T-Shirts may be purchased in advance at <a href="https://www.bmwc.store/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BMWC.store</a> (allow 1 month for delivery)------------------------------------------------------------------------------***By attending the event you agree to have your voice and likeness recorded and distributed for promotional and educational purposes.  Furthermore, all participants under the age of 18 must be registered by their parent or legal guardian.  Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or their designated chaperone while at the summit.

Suppose you have any concerns about the safety of your child or any youth participant or want to make a report of suspected inappropriate behavior on the part of an individual involved with a youth program. In that case, we encourage you to report that information so we can act immediately. If you believe the situation is an emergency, please contact 911.2. If you believe that the situation involves criminal behavior, we encourage you to contact the University Police Department or local law enforcement agency where the youth program occurs.3. In addition to contacting law enforcement, or if you do not choose to make a report to law enforcement, we encourage you to make a report of your concerns in the following way(s): a. Report your concerns to the youth program coordinator in which your child is participating. b.
