Sundry House is a listening lounge and intimate event space inside Continuum Art, at the corner of 1st Avenue and King Street in downtown Hendersonville, NC. This is a room built around sound — the acoustics, the setup, and the atmosphere are all designed to make you stop, sit down, and actually listen. Whether it’s an acoustic set, an intimate live performance, or a curated DJ night, every event here is programmed with the same intention: music deserves a room that takes it seriously.The space itself feels like someone’s most eclectic and well-loved private gallery — southern gothic atmosphere, art on every wall, lighting that sets a mood, and a warmth that makes the room feel like you were invited rather than just admitted. Capacity is intentionally limited. Every seat is a good seat.Guests must be 16 or older. The space is wheelchair accessible with restrooms on site. A free side street parking with occasional free parking lot on the weekends. We’re steps from downtown Hendersonville’s restaurants, breweries, wine bars, boutiques, and coffee shops — arrive early and make a full evening of it.Sundry House is part of the Continuum Art campus. Before or after your event, Steady Hand’s creative café is running activity sessions next door, and our tattoo and Pierciong studio is home to nine commission-based artists and piercers available for walk-ins and consultations.

CONTINUUM ART

Continuum Ceramic Studio is close to fired up, and we are offering instructed classes 5-8pm every Tuesday &amp; Thursday evening to help get you ready! These classes are open to ages 7+. ages 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each class includes 2 days of instructed hand building projects by Ms. Ally Turner. Cost is $75.Day One:Students will be provided with clay and tools. They may choose to hand build an instructed project or have open studio time to build a project of their choice.Day Two:Students will be provided with a bisque fired piece and learn how to properly glaze their piece.Class materials and services included:* 4 lbs of clay* community tool kit* seasonal glazes* 1 bisque fire, and 1 glaze firePick a day to come have some muddy fun with us! We also offer Memberships, Drop in classes, and firings.We have 2 different types of Memberships:Flux (beginners) $200* 8lbs of house clay body* use of studio seasonal glazes* tool kit* 4 hand building instructed days* 4 open studio days/monthGrog (novice-advanced) $100/month* 3 days/week open studio days* clay and tools are not providedFiring fees are considered seperate from Membership and studio space rental. Each Membership comes with access to the studio and its equipment, first come first served: wheels, slab roller, molds, extruder, etc.A waitlist for membership and collection for firing has been started. Full access to all studio equipment will begin sometime in March 2023. Special access for wheel can be provided by appointment before our official clay space opens. You may make a request to get on our waitlist or schedule time at the wheel with or without instruction by contacting questions@continuumartnc.com.
