First-Ever Screening of the Documentary, The Path Forward: Remembering WillowbrookThursday, March 23, 2023, 5:30 – 8 PMThe EGG, Hart Theatre, Empire State Plaza, AlbanyPanel Discussion Q &amp; A Session with key gamechangers in the Willowbrook story, moderated by NEWS10 ABC Anchor Christina ArangioLight Refreshments50 years ago, Geraldo Rivera’s expose revealing horrific conditions at the Willowbrook State School in Staten Island shocked the nation and forever changed the treatment of people with disabilities across the country. The DDPC, in partnership with OGS Media Services, has produced a documentary highlighting the importance of lessons learned, positive change that resulted, and the legacy of Willowbrook. The Path Forward: Remembering Willowbrook is a celebration of inclusion in all aspects of community life.Join us for an inspirational and impactful evening.This program contains images that may be disturbing for some viewers, as well as archive material with outdated language referring to people with developmental disabilities; usage is solely for historical context.Due to the overwhelming popularity of this event, we have moved the location to the larger, Hart Theater at the Egg. 
All parking and other ticket/location information remain the same.
Parking:The Visitor Lot (V-Lot) at the Empire State Plaza is located directly beneath the EGG and is available for $5 per vehicle evenings and weekends. No cash is accepted. Cards only. Once in the V-Lot, take the elevator to the Concourse Level and follow signs to The EGG and the Box Office and Swyer Theater.
